Our aim is to promote social change and support the unmet needs of minority groups in our community using the principles of participation, empowerment and promoting an inclusive collective decision making approach. We support our community through advocacy, training and education, community lead groups and networking to ensure community connectivity.

Drop-in Support Service

The Drop-in service is a confidential space for parents and families to call in for a listening ear, receive support about issues or concerns & signposting to relevant services they may need.

Time: 10am - 12pm

Date: Every Monday

(Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Drop-in Service is by appointment only, please ring the office 049 437 2730 to book a space.)

Aftercare Drop-in

Open to anyone that has been in the care of TUSLA & needs some information or support. Aftercare Drop in has no age limit, no eligibility apart from any care experience.

Meet with the community aftercare worker who will point you in the right direction.

Time: 2pm - 5pm

Parent Support Champions

To promote parenting, family well-being and Tusla’s Parenting Support Strategy, within their locality & service.

Parent Support Champions find local opportunities to develop approaches to supporting parenting and to disseminate the key messages e.g. links to CYPSC’s and CYPSC sub-groups.

Inspired Guardians Cavan (IGC)

Inspired Guardians Cavan’s promotes connections of peer support to all those parenting. IGC is a safe space to have a strong voice, that informs the provision of supportive services to all children and families ensuring that they are at the centre of service delivery.
